K~Decking is the only COMPOSITE DECKING program on the market TODAY that does not start out in a forest.
K~Decking is made by blending a natural fiber, KENAF, with polypropylene in a unique extrusion process. KENAF is an annual fiber crop that is grown in South Texas to make rope, fabric and paper. The fiber is lighter than wood and highly resistant to decay and termite damage. When combined with a wide variety of thermoplastics, it makes a strong composite building material. It is the "Farm Green" environmental choice for exterior Decking projects.

KIST is working via established local fence contractors in the Rio Grande Valley and other locales in South Texas. Plans are to fully establish this unique type of fencing through 2003 before extending into other regions.
